The Vintage Classics Collection represents the next evolution of the Hand Wound Migas Touch Pickups. Each pickup is built using the same hand-built bobbins, the same premium USA-made wire, and the same vintage-style push-back lead wires that define my hand-wound originals.

The only difference is the winding process. Instead of being wound entirely by hand, each pickup is wound individually on the Tone Winder CNC Winding Machine, precision-engineered in Italy. Over the past two years, I have dedicated countless hours to developing and refining this process to ensure it faithfully captures the character, consistency, and tonal qualities of my hand-wound pickups.

The Tone Winder gives me complete control over every aspect of the winding process while producing one pickup at a time—just as I would at my winding bench. Every critical parameter is carefully programmed and monitored, including the exact number of turns, adjustable wire tension, scatter-winding pattern, and winding speed. This level of precision allows me to reproduce my winding techniques with exceptional accuracy while maintaining complete control over every pickup that leaves my shop.

The result is a pickup that delivers the same attention to detail, premium materials, and vintage-inspired craftsmanship as my hand-wound models, with outstanding consistency from one pickup to the next. Every Vintage Classics Collection pickup is built to meet the same uncompromising standards that have defined Migas Touch Pickups from the very beginning.

Migas Touch is a specialized custom shop focusing on the creation of high-quality pickups for Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster guitars. Our Vintage '54 pickups are designed to replicate the authentic sound of early Fender Stratocasters, employing the classic formula that defined a generation of music. By utilizing Alnico III magnets, we ensure a warm and smooth tone while preserving clarity—a nod to the rich tonal heritage of the original Fender designs.


Lacquer vs Wax Potting:

Both are used to seal the wire to avoid microphonic noises and squeals.

Wax potting takes 10 to 15 minutes to allow the wax to completely penetrate the pickup. This eliminates all microphonic noise and squeals.

Lacquer potting is a quick dip to seal the outside of the pickup wires and does not penetrate completely.  This does eliminates most of the microphonic noise and squeals while allowing the wire to remain free inside for a more high-end airy lively tone

  • - Period-correct staggered pole pieces with an aged finish
  • - Alnico 3 magnets with average readings of Neck 5.9, Middle 5.9, Bridge 6.0 (individual readings may vary slightly) 
  • - Period-correct 11-inch long cloth push-back wire
  • - Black fiber bobbins
  •  - Wax potted
  •  - Installation hardware is included
  •  - Available cover options: White, Black, or Aged White
  •  - Choose between Reverse or Non-Reverse wound middle pickup
  •  - If using a 5 way switch reverse wound, 3 way switch non-reverse wound
  •  - Left Handed
